A sobbing Erin Andrews testifies against her stalker
A jury on Thursday viewed nude videos that a stalker secretly recorded of sportscaster and TV host Erin Andrews.
Erin Andrews’ attorney questioned a computer expert during the $75 million civil suit and that expert said he conservatively estimated that 17 million people have viewed the video of Andrews.
Peskind argued the owners that make up West End Hotel Partners hired Windsor Capital Group, a hotel management company, to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Marriott, including employment and hiring of all staff. She is expected to testify later today.
In addition to testifying about the psychological harm the stalking case has caused her, Andrews said that since the videos were released, she has occasionally broken out in a rash, which had never happened to her before. I talked to her producers. “I don’t know where I am!’ I even got a call from the hotel asking if everything was was OK because I was screaming so loud”. She said that getting sick over watching it convinced the Federal Bureau of Investigation she hadn’t staged it.
“You violated me and you violated all women”, Andrews told Barrett at the 2010 hearing.
Barrett, who later pleaded guilty to stalking charges and served more than 2 1/2 years in prison, said in recorded depositions that he taped Andrews undressing at hotels in Nashville and Columbus, Ohio, in 2008.
Andrew mentioned that it “ripped her apart” when everyone in the society accused the video of being a publicity stunt.
Erin Andrews has been a mainstay on popular sports channels for many years, reporting on top fixtures from the worlds of basketball and American football.
Signs from fans in the stands said “Marry me, Erin Andrews”. He said he was able to get the videos of her by manipulating the hotel door peephole in such a way that he could pull the peephole out and use his mobile phone to shoot videos of her.
She is suing Barrett and a hotel owner and operator for $75 million.
“Nobody ever called me”, she said. “I knew it was going to happen”.
He posted the videos online after he was unable to sell them.
“It’s my body on the Internet”, she said.
Andrews said she was allowed to select who would conduct the interview, claiming her bosses were “highly recommending” Good Morning America because of the ESPN/ABC connection.
