Iowa Basketball: What’s wrong with the Hawkeyes?
Like Indiana, Iowa (No. 4) and Wisconsin (No. 2), Maryland will also have a double-bye if the standings stayed the way that they are now. The Hoosiers are 13-3 in Big Ten play with two games remaining, while every other Big Ten team has at least five conference losses.
Five Players averages at least 8.0 points per game for Iowa, they are: Jarrod Uthoff (18.5), Peter Jok (16.3), Anthiny CLemmons (9.1), Mike Gesell (8.6) and Adam Woodbury (8.0).
The Terrapins now own a 23-6 (11-5) record during the 2015-16 season. Yogi Ferrell scored 27 points to lead Indiana. This is a rematch of a game IN won at home IN January. Which is nice. Of course, even if the Big Ten had said “no”, Ott still would have been entitled to appeal the decision to the NCAA. The Hawkeyes start four seniors and a junior.
Initial paperwork on the request was filed about one month after the all-Big Ten defensive end underwent knee surgery in late October and shortly before he had Tommy John surgery to fix an elbow injury in early December.

Uthoff is Iowa’s best player and should be taking many of their shots, but they just do not seem to falling during this stretch. They gave up 45% from the field against Ohio State, 46.4% against Penn State, 46% against IN and 48% against Wisconsin.
Iowa faces a big test on Tuesday in Iowa City against the Big Ten Champs Indiana Hoosiers.
BTN will carry the first 12 games of the Big Ten Women’s Basketball Tournament, while the championship game will be televised by ESPN.
