Adele gets emotional with big BRIT Awards win
Former Hitchin Boys’ School pupil James Bay won best British Male Solo Artist at the Brit awards last night.
However, she managed to regain her composure to make a joke, quipping: “Not bad for a girl from Tottenham who don’t like flying”.
She thanked her boyfriend and the father of her son, Simon Konecki, saying: “I’m so lucky to have you love me the way you do and to support me”.
She equalled Blur’s BRIT Awards success in 1995 by collecting four prizes.

Coldplay were named Best British group and dedicated their award to male and female musicians in refugee camps around the world.
Rocking a stunning scarlet gown, Adele barely had time to take her seat between all the times she had to ascend the stage to collect her awards – and of course she accepted them in true Adele fashion! “I thought you were going to set us on fire, though, Justin”.
