What Say the Critics About Quantum Break?

Working out how to use all of Jack’s skills against the range of enemies you’ll come up against is one of the joys of Quantum Break. But, more excitingly, Quantum Break is a very good game.

It sounds unusual, but Quantum Break definitely falls into its own rhythm.

The main character and new hero is instead Liam Burke (Patrick Heusinger). The game itself boasts great visuals and effects.

With all the time and money spent to make this game a reality, it should be a title that will give Xbox fans something to truly boast about. With any luck, it’ll be finished by the time the game arrives for everyone else. It’s a little too enamoured with letting you wander through mundane spaces, as though simply controlling an avatar in a 3D space is inherently interesting. Though Quantum Break doesn’t hit shelves until tomorrow, it’s receiving its fair share of mixed-to-negative reviews, as Inquisitr reported previously. Regardless of whether you buy the game physically or online you need to either stream each episode or download the 75GB episode pack.

Don’t have an Xbox One?

The core framework of Quantum Break has enough going for it to offer some moments of excitement, and playing the game is never a slog, exactly. The game bounces back and forth between Joyce and Serene, giving players a deeper perspective of the character’s motivations. Inside the package is a single white Xbox One controller, a matching Xbox One console and a copy of Quantum Break. Other than that hiccup, the game is gorgeous. Quantum Break doesn’t feature any online multiplayer. Since the start of Quantum Break’s development, the most important thing for Remedy and Microsoft has been delivering and compelling gaming experience with superior artistic quality.

The Quantum Break Xbox One Bundle costs $299 from Amazon. Videogamer have the scoop on the delay for pre-order codes from Xbox copies, but there’s no explanation of exactly when they’ll show up other than ‘this week’. The movement and powers makes the game feel like Alan Wake and Max Payne meet Infamous, with some Vanquish thrown in on top. What’s even more unique is that the narrative is continued through a live action TV series with an episode after each act that changes depending on the choices you have made in the game.

As the game goes on and more powers open up, you’ll realize just how quickly they recharge. Users can redeem that code through the message, or pass it on to someone else to add to their collection. Hopefully all the port work isn’t taking place in that timeframe, as it will be out at 6am PST / 2pm BST, or a couple of hours from now, on the Windows 10 store.
