Victims of Brussels attacks identified
Most of the 31 people killed in the attack hadn’t yet been identified, although survivors’ stories – including those of the at least 12 Americans hurt in the blasts – were being shared widely. The statement blames Belgium for participating in the fight against ISIS and says that “several” fighters detonated explosive belts at the airport and train station. Two Britons, two Colombians and an Ecuadorian national also were among the wounded, their governments said.
Among the first fatalities to be named was a Peruvian woman, Ms Adelma Marina Tapia Ruiz, who had been living in Belgium for six years and was travelling with her journalist husband and young twin daughters.
“They were in the Brussels airport too, they were connecting through to NY to meet my sister Milenka Tapia”.
The others survived the blast as the girls had run off and Delcambe had chased after them, though one of the girls was wounded by flying debris.
She was a chef and was planning to return to Peru this year before setting up a Peruvian restaurant in Brussels, her brother told the Times.

Earlier came confirmation that a Peruvian mother of three-year-old twins was one of those killed in the double suicide bomb attack at Brussels airport.

Names are starting to emerge from Tuesday’s terror attacks in Brussels.

The siblings who have spent much of their time in New York City are missing, according to multiple posts from family and friends on social media. In an initial post it said one of its employees had died.

The US state department said it was searching for a “fair number” of missing US citizens following the attack, and has not released any numbers.
