Wolverine 3 May Feature This Badass X-Men Character
It’s been known for some time that the upcoming Wolverine 3 will feature Hugh Jackman’s Logan and Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier teaming up, but there may be another X-Men character along for the ride in the film.
The character fits the alleged casting call, but 20th Century Fox has yet to confirm X-23’s appearance in Wolverine 3.
Comicbook.com reported a casting call for “Juarez”, the still unnamed Wolverine 3 moniker, looking for stand-ins and body doubles. One major difference, however, is X-23’s claws; she only has two on each hand, along with one that can pop out of her feet.
What do you think X-23 will be like in the film?
Wolverine 3 will be directed by James Mangold and will also star Narcos actor Boyd Holbrook as the main villain.
The site claims that they have heard that X-23 will join Jackman’s Wolverine and Patrick Stewart’s Professor X for their journey in the sequel, although they stress it’s unconfirmed – which could also mean it’s just speculation to begin with. When Logan died in 2015, X-23 took up Wolverine’s mantle. The genesis of X-23 came from a group of baddies attempting to replicate the Weapon X program, which is what gave Wolverine his Adamantium skeleton. Laura may be referred to as X-23, which is the name she used as a superhero for ages, even though it’s so clearly a clone designation.
Wolverine 3 will debut in theaters on March 3rd, 2017. She’s a female clone of Wolverine who boasts the same regenerative powers, speed, agility and strength as her male counterpart, as well as a set of adamantium claws.
More and more talks about Wolverine 3 are circulating due to the impending release of X-Men: Apocalypse this May.
