Michelle Obama: ‘NCIS’ Episode to Feature First Lady
First lady Michelle Obama has landed a spot on the CBS crime show “NCIS”.
So long, Michael Weatherly.
The episode will enthusiastically highlight the proposal claimed as “The Joining Forces”, which is a policy commenced by the First Lady herself, with the wife of Vice President Joe Biden back in 2011.
He added that being able to film an episode inside the White House was “a dream come true” for the show’s cast and crew members.
In the episode, Obama welcomes NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and the wife of a Marine (Reiko Aylesworth) to the White House’s Blue Room for a Joining Forces roundtable with military spouses.
NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS. In the upcoming “NCIS” episode, spouses of actual military servicemen were also used as extras for the White House scene.
First Lady Michelle Obama is gearing up for another lights, camera, action debut.
Obama’s appearance is in conjunction with the “Joining Forces” initiative, a way for Americans to offer support through various programs for both veterans and their families.
In 2014, Obama made appearances on both Jessie and Parks and Recreation, both TV sitcoms, with many commending Obama’s acknowledgment of popular culture during her time as First Lady.
