Amal Clooney Brightens Up Cannes in Fabulous Rainbow Dress

Especially when that man is George Clooney?

After suffering a major fashion mishap at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France, on Thursday, the 38-year-old human rights lawyer resurfaced two days later looking bright and handsome as she walked hand-in-hand with her husband, George Clooney.

Amal is best known for being the wife of actor George Clooney.

Clooney also told the site he spent his birthday “crying and drinking”, while dining in the Bahamas with his wife and friends.

So what did Amal give him as a present?

“We have a lovely front lawn at our house in England and I used to mow lawns when I was a kid.” he explained. Unfortunately, we’ll never know.

Grappling with the wind and the gown’s extensive fabric, which billowed about as the barrister walked alongside her actor husband, things nearly took a turn south. Onlookers said Amal’s strappy shoes got caught up in the voluminous layers of the dress, and it looked certain she was going to trip. “I would get into trouble”. “And I’m like, “What are you doing?’ and she comes back in”.

Joking about his, ehem, seniority, the actor added: “And finally like literally I said “Look, I hope the answer’s yes, but I need an answer ’cause I’m 52 and I could throw out my hip pretty soon!” and then she said, “Oh, oh yes!”

He shared, “I got down on my knee and said, ‘I couldn’t imagine spending the rest of my life without you.’ And she kept looking at the ring and she was looking at me and she was like ‘Oh my God'”.

Lucky for George the answer was of course “yes!” It’s a hard task… one that Amal Clooney recently had to face.
