Conor McGregor: Relationship with UFC in good place
We’re in a good place with Conor and we’re looking to make his next fight. It is what it is.
In the ongoing “will they, wont they” saga pertaining to a potential bout between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather, the Irishman has dropped his latest clue that the fight could be on. Sometimes emotions get into it.
“So that’s essentially what it was last night”. It’s a good start toward a “fix” of his impasse with the UFC that we’ve just seen him break bread with the company’s top executives. There’s no place for emotions in this. We are doing handsome things so let’s continue.
“Floyd Mayweather has a $50 MILLION offer out to Conor McGregor, sources tell TMZ Sports … but it’s going to take a lot more to seal the deal”.

McGregor, the UFC’s biggest financial draw, met with White and Fertitta at the swanky Montage Beverly Hills.
That certainly wasn’t the case last month when McGregor refused to hop the UFC’s private jet to fly from Iceland to Las Vegas for a UFC 200 pre-fight press conference.
McGregor echoed White’s description of their current relationship, saying it was “in a good place” and said “Yeah, of course”, when asked if things are better.
But that jump could be one of the reasons McGregor performed the way he did in the first bout, according to Jones.
White, however, reiterated that McGregor’s next fight will not include finding his way back onto the UFC 200 fight card.
Then again, will McGregor’s next fight not be with the UFC, or in MMA at all? The victor of the said fight will be facing McGregor for the undisputed title, in a still undetermined date in 2016.
Mayne conducted the interview Thursday – in conjunction with ESPN the Magazine – in an abandoned warehouse in Los Angeles.
The McGregor fiasco’s fire burned a little bit more after reports by mainstream media surfaced that a Mayweather versus McGregor boxing match is in the works which added to another wave of confusion and excitement.
