Hillary Clinton ‘Thrilled’ To Have President Obama’s Endorsement
President Barack Obama endorsed Hillary Clinton in a video released this afternoon.
In a video posted to Clinton’s YouTube page, Obama said, “I want those of you who’ve been with me from the beginning of this incredible journey to be the first to know that I’m with her, I am fired up and I can not wait to get out there and campaign for Hillary”. Obama and Biden met separately Thursday with Sen.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich also said “it’s hard to say” if he’ll ever endorse Trump for president, and hinted that it’s possible he could go to next month’s convention without supporting his party’s nominee. Sanders said he would compete in the Washington, D.C., primary on Tuesday, the party’s final contest, but said his interest was largely in pushing for D.C. statehood.
Obama will certainly campaign for Clinton this fall.
As he walked through the halls he knows so well, Sanders ignored a reporter’s question about the president’s endorsement of Clinton.
Despite his mathematical elimination from the race, Sanders had earlier pledged to continue the fight into the national convention in July when party nomination would be formally announced. “Well, they said that eight years ago as well”, Obama said.
In fact, nearly out of nowhere, Warren has gone from watching the campaign on the sidelines to becoming one of Trump’s loudest critics – especially on his home turf, Twitter. “And we’re going to be discussing all of the things that have taken place with the Clintons”.

President Obama plans on campaigning with Hillary Clinton in Green Bay, Wisconsin next week.
“I’m going to do everything I can to help Hillary Clinton get elected and I’m going to do everything I can to make sure that Donald Trump never comes within shouting distance of the White House”, the senator said.
Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, quickly responded on Twitter, slamming Obama’s endorsement.
The vice president and Warren – who also endorsed Clinton Thursday – spoke in front of a friendly and receptive crowd and each hit Trump for his comments on Indiana-born judge Gonzalo Curiel, who is hearing a case concerning Trump University and has been attacked by the GOP candidate due to his Mexican heritage. And a lot of that is thanks to Senator Bernie Sanders.
Obama for his part worked to emphasize the agreements between Sanders and Clinton, saying that they share a vision for an America that is hopeful, “big-hearted”, and fair.
Warren’s allies have let it be known that she is even intrigued by the idea of serving as her vice president.
As we know, Obama won the nomination. Trump has said he welcomes Sanders’ voters “with open arms” while Clinton has vowed to reach out to voters who backed her opponent in the Democratic primary. But she doesn’t know Warren (remember, Warren came into the Senate after Clinton left her secretary of state job).
