Police shoot man amid domestic disturbance at Dallas airport
The man was shot after advancing toward the officer with the rock following what was believed to be a domestic altercation, Blankenbaker said.
Transportation Security Administration security lines were closed after the shooting and police said all people in the airport would have to be re-screened. The man used large rocks taken from curbside landscaping to break several windows of the auto, they said.
Planes were still landing at Love Field in the wake of the shooting, but no flights were taking off from the north Dallas airport.
The airport remained open throughout the incident, though it did prompt security screening delays, Blankenbaker said.
M has received reports of shoots being fired at Dallas Love Field Airport.
She heard gunfire while trying to reach a vehicle picking up the couple.
She says, “I crouched down on the ground”.
The man was taken to a local hospital, but his condition wasn’t immediately released. “I didn’t know where the bullets were going”.
Police said the suspect appeared to be the father of the woman’s children. She said, “it was terrifying”. Amid the sound of nine gunshots and an officer’s shouts to “get down”, some people scramble while others stand watching before officers order them back inside. The airline advised that travelers be flexible to change plans that involve the airport Friday.
The video fails to capture the suspect in question prior to the shots being fired outside the airport terminal of Love Field. He posted video online which shows officers on scene and drawing their guns.
