Britain’s queen is a stunner in green at 90th birthday parade
The colour of Number 7 Company Coldstream Guards was paraded past the troops, an ancient tradition thought to originate from the practice of marching banners past soldiers so they could identify the flag they were fighting under. During the display, Princess Charlotte kept her thumb in her mouth while her mom rubbed her leg to comfort her.
Pomp and pageantry was the order of the day as the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, William, Kate and Prince Harry earlier took part in the monarch’s annual Trooping the Colour parade.
The parade featured nearly 1,500 uniformed officers and their men as well as more than 300 horses.
Prince William and his wife Kate’s daughter, Princess Charlotte, age 1, delighted the crowd by making her first appearance on the balcony, standing alongside the queen and her husband, Prince Philip, who turned 95 on Friday.
“She’s our queen and she makes us very proud”.
Prince William and Princess Kate doted on their children as they enjoyed the show.

Later, the royal couple will lead the family onto the palace balcony to wave to the throngs as Royal Air Force jets and some vintage World War II planes fly overhead. She’s had lots of trial and tribulations.
