Star Wars Battlefront Bespin DLC Launches June 21

The second Star Wars Battlefront DLC is now a focal point as we push deeper into the month of June and EA DICE recently confirmed some brand new Bespin release details. Those without Battlefront season passes will have to wait a couple more weeks in order to access the downloadable content.

There will be new star cards, game modes, Hutt Contracts and other such good stuff, but we won’t get details on that for awhile yet.

Season Pass owners can download the update on June 21st, while everyone else gets it on July 5th. The Bespin add-on will will take players to the golden-hued Cloud City seen in The Empire Strikes Back, and will have several maps set in and around iconic locations, including the carbon-freezing chambers and the Bioniip Laboratories.

“Lando and Dengar both feature new traits that will give them unique gameplay abilities”.

“Dengar is a villain that thrives on being in a fight”, reads the press release. Fan favourite Lando Calrissian will be playable – which is only appropriate, given that he’s the Baron Administrator of Cloud City – while the mysterious, unkempt bounty hunter Dengar is also being introduced to even things up for the forces of the dark side.

The developers also showed off some new key art spotlighting Cloud City, along with a glimpse at one of the new weapons.

The “Death Star” DLC is expected to arrive sometime in the fall, and as the name suggests, it will be taking players to one of the more memorable settings ever featured in the “Star Wars” universe.

Following the release of “Bespin”, players can look forward to two more expansion packs being released for the game.
