Storms And Heat To Start This Week

Sunday morning will be breezy and mild before another chance for scattered showers and storms returns by this afternoon.

The weather has gotten downright muggy the past few days, and unfortunately the heat and high humidity aren’t going anywhere as we slide into our Sunday! Main threat will be lots of lightning and heavy rain.

For Monday, expect mostly cloudy skies at sunrise with temperatures in the mid 70s to begin the day. Most storms should remain below severe limits, but we can’t rule out one or two strong storms.

The rest of the work week looks very warm and unsettled with storm chances all the way into next weekend.

Daytime highs will once again soar into the low 90s but key today will be the humidity. I wouldn’t cancel any outdoor summer plans you have coming up next week!

On Tuesday a system will move through late in the day providing a chance for severe storms. Get used to it!
