WWE NXT: Spoilers for June 15 to June 29
On Thursday night, those who don’t read the NXT taping spoilers got a special treat from Triple H himself when he tweeted out the above photograph with a caption that reads: “No sleep ’til Brooklyn”. WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, even mentioned him as a potential opponent for Brock Lesnar. Cagesideseats.com reports that there were rumors of spotting him backstage at NXT Takeover: The End, which suggests towards a possible stint with the company in future.
Finn Balor in a cage match for the NXT Championship.
You can check out the full video on Triple H’s Facebook page. Balor agreed to the match. Based on what happened at TakeOver: The End, the indication may be that Shinsuke Nakamura is next in line.
Feuds against the likes of Bray Wyatt and The Wyatt Family immediately jump out as the best options for Balor, but right now, a farewell from NXT will be followed by his move to the main roster. Balor takes a nasty fall from a top rope spot but shakes it off and sends Joe crashing into the steel, then traps him between the ropes and the cage. At this time, Samoa Joe has 28%, followed by Nakamura (26%) and Ellering (24%).
There are a few leading contenders, and the unannounced arrival of Bobby Roode during a segment with William Regal on TakeOver: The End hints that he could be set for a big role in the new-look NXT.
-Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Austin Aries.
Of course, this is also based on Nakamura staying in NXT.
The Revival also made history, becoming two-time NXT Tag Team Champions as they beat American Alpha with the Shatter Machine.
Aries is one many believe will make it to either Raw or SmackDown sooner rather than later as The Main Event has already showcased his ability he said “As I lay out my goals in front of me, that is that I put on the board but there is so many different factors that play into that I can not say I expect it”.
