Up until now, it has been believed certain regions of the United Kingdom will vote in certain ways, but the ORB poll revealed London, thought of as predominantly Remain, is only 44 per cent in favour of staying in the bloc, while 56 per cent are in favour of leaving.
Around 132,000 of the 525,000 people who did successfully register on Tuesday were aged under 25, compared to around 13,000 from the 65-to-74 age group.
“It is becoming extremely worrying for the financial markets and expect more sterling losses if polls continued to indicate a Brexit lead”, said Hussein Sayed, chief market strategist at trader FXTM.
“This is a shambles the government has presided over and people must be given an extra day to exercise their democratic right”, he said.
“Evidence shows younger people are overwhelmingly pro-European, and if they are disenfranchised it could cost us our place in Europe”.
The debate has intensified long-held euroscepticism in Britain but a major survey on Tuesday showed it was not alone.
However, Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn – who did not campaign alongside Mr. Cameron on Monday – has been accused of offering only lukewarm support to the Remain side, while many suspect the SNP would be happy to see the Leave side win, since a Brexit could create the conditions for another referendum on Scotland’s independence.
Visit Britain, the national tourism agency said there were just over 36 million tourist visits previous year.
When Prime Minister David Cameron promised the British people a say on whether the United Kingdom should leave or remain in the European Union in January 2013, he did so for more cynical reasons. It gave no further details, and the campaign could not immediately be reached for further comment.

One in ten respondents said that they felt they would be treated badly by those living in other EU countries if Britain made a decision to leave the European Union and they chose to holiday there.
Thursday’s survey also found voters were split evenly, although no detailed breakdown was provided.
