Quake Champions announced for PC, features 120hz, unlocked frame rates
E3 2016 doesn’t technically start until Tuesday, but Bethesda Softworks got the ball rolling Sunday night.
Bethesda was quick with the hits during its second-ever E3 press conference, instantly announcing the return of old-school arena shooter Quake in the form of Quake Champions. Willetts says that Quake Champions will be accessible to new players, but will also feature “world class” eSports play, suitable to 20-year veterans of the classic Quake games. The skill-based game is fast, and is expected to have120hz game play. Plus, the news that it’s being built to take advantage of modern PC hardware was welcome news.

The biggest, baddest card in Bethesda’s hand was always going to play a massive part at BE3, but no one expected virtual reality to be added to the mix.

Most of the titles Bethesda announced at the event are planned for the end of the year or 2016.
