Further weather warning issued for heavy rain and thundery showers in Lincoln
Preston’s weather forecast for the rest of the week has temperatures between 16 degrees to 17 degrees, with rain on Wednesday.
AN extreme weather warning has been issued for the Cotswolds, amid forecasts of “heavy, thundery showers”.
The warning was issued this morning, Monday June 13 and is now forecast to remain in place until Wednesday June 15.
It says scattered heavy thundery showers are expected to develop today, tomorrow and Wednesday, which will lead to slow-moving downpours.
So far this morning both Oxford and West Oxfordshire have been struck by heavy downpours which are set to continue.
“About 15-20 mm of rain could fall locally within an hour with 30-40 mm possible within a few hours”.
It will remain in place until 9pm although Bath itself has enjoyed sunny spells and dry weather all afternoon.
Flash flooding struck the county on Monday, with cars submerged in deep water on roads in Lancaster and fire crews called out.
A “river” also ran through tents at Download Festival.
