Game of Thrones’ Season 6 finale will be extra long
The promo for “Game of Thrones” Season 6 Episode 8 reveals that the show is putting the focus on Cersei Lannister and Ser Robert Strong aka The Mountain.
Who Let The Dogs Out? Ian McShane made an immediate impression as the monk the Elder Brother, but his time on the series was short lived.
A few small houses pledge fealty, including House Mormont’s Lady Lyanna, a young but steadfast ruler who steals the show – and will hopefully return this season – with her curt attitude to those older than her. She eventually pledges 62 Mormont men (who she claims are each as strong as 10 normal men), but other houses turn the Starks down and throw them into uncertainty. We were left hanging in the last episode to see whether Arya actually makes it out of Braavos, whether this change in Margery Tyrell is staying or not, whether Jon and Sansa are able to gather an army or not. And the lives of everyone in his peaceful hippie cult. The Hound’s love of chickens is also referenced quite a lot, and if you want to know more it’s worth checking out the Cleganebowl subreddit for all the madness.
After being born-again into the cult of the High Sparrow, Margaery (Natalie Dormer) seemed fully converted – to the point where she’s stopped doing the bang-bang with her teenage husband because she just doesn’t feel those sinful desires anymore.
How long would your ideal Game of Thrones episode run?
The seventh episode of “Game of Thrones” Season 6 has found Jon Snow and Sansa Stark with new allies and Arya Stark trying to make her way back to Westeros.
But, alas, that’s all they’ve got. That was when Sansa spotted a raven and discreetly penned a note. I guess we all know who is at the receiving end of this message for help. Jaime meets with Catelyn Stark’s uncle, but he’s unwilling to negotiate. And yes, she accomplished both these goals. And conveniently enough, Theon and Yara’s Ironborn ships are on their way to her now. “I wonder if you’re the worst person I’ve ever met”, she tells Cersei, knocking her off her perch. Arya (Maisie Williams) faces a new test. Written by David Benioff & D. B. Weiss; directed by Mark Mylod. The siege between Brynden “Blackfish” Tully (Clive Russell) is underway and in what seems like a matter of minutes Jaime has taken over the siege from Lothar Frey (Daniel Tuite) and confronted Blackfish. And the last we saw of Sandor, he was grabbing his ax and going after them. His story of giving up the extreme violence of his past due to his shame and guilt has a visible effect on the Hound, and audiences understood right away why the Hound might have chosen to follow this man. The Elder Brother chose to give up his dark path and try to do good instead; he wanted to help the world instead of hurting it. “It’s never too late to come back”, he said at the end of his speech.
