Spider-Man, Batman coming to PlayStation

Experience Gotham City through the eyes of the World’s Greatest Detective in an all new Arkham mystery. According to Game Informer, Nightwing is supposedly dead (he probably isn’t), and obviously The Joker is taking centre stage once again.

It hasn’t even been a full year since ‘Batman: “Arkham Knight” took its place as the “final” title in Rocksteady Studio’s critically acclaimed Batman trilogy. What else is there to explain?

Sony announced the development of a new episode of Batman Arkham which will be exclusive to the PlayStation Virtual Reality Headset on PS4 VR. I think they alluded to the fact that the Playstation VR will act like Batman’s cowl to help immerse the player. Now the good news is that if you’re after more VR titles, Sony has officially announced Batman: Arkham VR which will allow gamers to stand in the shoes of the caped crusader. That is literally all we can tell you at this point. Interactive Entertainment added: “Virtual reality is expanding the video game space and entertainment overall, so it is extremely exciting to have our incredible team at Rocksteady Studios dive into this new storytelling medium with the Batman Arkham franchise”.

The game will be played entirely in the first person, and will tell a “highly focused, very personal” murder-mystery story.
