Elizabeth Warren finally throws her support to Hillary Clinton
Asked in an MSNBC interview on Thursday whether she had discussed with Clinton the prospect of being vice president, Warren said she had not, nor had she been vetted.
Mrs. Clinton won the support of her party’s establishment by promising them another four years of Obama’s policies.
In a personalised email to his millions of supporters Obama said he knows how hard the job of president can be. “And I’ve seen her determination to give every American a fair shot at opportunity, no matter how tough the fight – that’s what’s always driven her, and still does”, Obama said. I’ve seen her commitment to our values up close.
The reason the Obama endorsement and Sanders’ comments on Trump have made headlines is because there are so many political journalists that need to justify their existence, he claimed.
But he also got an unequivocal message during his day in Washington: The campaign is over.

Sander had vowed to keep up his campaign. But on Thursday, he highlighted a different goal.
However, Sanders later also indicated that he would “assess” his path to victory in the wake of California’s primary which was held on Tuesday.
Leaders on Capitol Hill underscored Obama’s message. Hours later, Vice President Joe Biden said “God willing”, Clinton would be the next president. Sen.
Still, it’s by no means certain that all of Sanders supporters will now flock to Clinton. The nonprofit was a strong champion of Clinton in the primaries, giving her its first endorsement in their 100-year history.
When Clinton trolled back, social media exploded.
Otherwise, as bipartisan political adviser David Gergen has said, “it’s a blown opportunity to build bridges that are going to be extremely important in the fall”. Last night on The Rachel Maddow Show, Clinton was endorsed by Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, and they both tweeted a “Delete your account” at Donald Trump. Much of his endorsement video was spent thanking Sanders for his work energizing the party.
U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren endorsed Clinton in an exclusive interview Thursday night after months of neutrality.
But while work remains to be done to unite Democrats, Thursday’s events did stake out a contrast with the messy, reluctant GOP establishment embrace of Trump.
