Apple has four operating systems- for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Watch and Macs, the WSJ report added. Apple will allow more apps to charge customers via subscriptions and reduce Apple’s cut of the revenue from longtime subscribers.

But there’s a whole slew of Apple system apps – Stocks, Weather, Tips and many more – and you probably only ever use a handful of them.

In addition to building Siri into the desktop, the changes will allow developers to supercharge their apps with Siri’s voice. A subscription to a fitness app via iMessage isn’t something you’d be able to do, though a native app would provide the experience you’re looking for. Before, users would have to leave the text app, go somewhere else, make something, copy it and return to the text app to paste it. However, while that applies to 23 Apple apps, some apps such as Safari, iMessage continue to enjoy immunity. In a few months, we’ll be using it to make dinner reservations, edit photos, buy movie tickets – or send money to a friend who bought them for us.

But despite rumors to the contrary, Apple did not release a peer-to-peer payments service through Apple Pay.

The third-party app will then use SiriKit APIs to come up with the most appropriate response that will then be displayed in the Siri interface.

iMessage: Of all the apps that saw changes, its iMessage that has gone for the biggest overhaul. The iMessages users also get another update, tap to replace emoji, where text would be replaced by emojis!

Apple also unveiled watchOS 3, the next iteration of the software that powers its smartwatch.

Right now, tech experts are gathering at Apple’s annual World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) to get the inside scoop on the 2016 product lineup. Since iOS 10 beta is not yet available for public so users can not install it whatsoever. So, for example, Siri could book a ride with a service like Uber. But as its competitors jockey to build intelligent “chat bots” and voice-controlled home systems capable of more challenging artificial-intelligence feats, Siri at times no longer seems cutting edge. SiriKit also lacks support for other obvious services, like email and productivity apps. And if anything, it might motivate some current iPhone users to switch back to Android.
