The beach where the reptile grabbed the child is part of the luxury Grand Floridian resort, across the lake from Magic Kingdom. No one else was in the water at the time.
“The father entered the water and tried to grab the child and was not successful in doing so”, Demings said.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office later released Lane’s picture on Twitter and wrote that “the Graves family appreciate the support they have received and have asked for privacy as they grieve the loss of their son”.
Authorities and a Catholic priest broke the news to the parents.
Demings said the body was found ‘completely intact, ‘ just 10 to 15 yards from where the boy was attacked, in about six feet of water.
The body of the toddler taken into a lagoon by an alligator near the Disney World Grand Floridian Hotel was found Wednesday. “We are devastated and heartbroken by this tragic accident and are doing what we can to help them during this hard time”.

In 1986, Santamaria’s family was staying at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground when he was attacked while feeding ducks at a pond.
The child, from Nebraska, was relaxing near the shore of the lagoon with his family on Tuesday (June 14) evening when the incident happened.
Disney closed all beaches in the resort area Wednesday as a precaution.
The video shows an alligator swimming above water in the lagoon. Placing blame on Disney, Internet users from all over have taken to social media totally bashing the company while igniting a conversation about safety in and around the park.
Multiple sources report that the Graves family had been enjoying an outdoor movie night at the resort when the 2-year-old began wading into the water.
Since the attack, five alligators were seized and killed in an attempt to find the boy’s remains. Williamson said more personnel would be brought in Wednesday morning to offer some “fresh eyes” for the search. Investigators will analyze teeth marks to make a determination.
“We have a large property, and from time to time, we have to remove alligators from our property”, Wahler said “Nearly one-third of Walt Disney World property is set aside as a conservation area and these areas attract a variety of native wildlife”.
