Oprah Makes Her Presidential Endorsement: ‘It’s About Time’
Oprah Winfrey is “with her”.
Celeb: Oprah – media mogul/eponymous magazine owner/”Live your best life” guru/and the megawatt celebrity other celebrities get fidgety around – who is as popular with Midwestern soccer moms as she is with the Obamas.
“I’m with her”, the OWN CEO said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight’s Nancy O’Dell.
Winfrey pointed out the importance of Clinton becoming the Democratic presidential nominee, and predicted that Clinton will win the job.
“It’s about time we make that decision”, she said, according to Politico.
“It’s a seminal moment for women”, Winfrey told ET. “That ceiling has gone ‘boom, ‘ you know?” Term limited, Obama’s on his way out this year, and she’s now backing Clinton.
Does it matter? Um, yes.
Oprah Winfrey endorsed Hillary Clinton for President on Thursday’s edition of Good Morning America, and tonight on Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night, she’ll do the same.
In Clinton now, Winfrey sees the possibility of making history again by helping to put the first woman in the Oval Office. “I really believe that that is going to happen”.
