However, it’s reported that Liverpool have written to Burnley asking for them to agree to reverse the fixture so the Reds would travel to Turf Moor instead – which would mean LFC’s opening three games would be away from home and their first home game not being until Leicester City on September 10th.

Arsenal v Liverpool is the pick of the opening weekend fixtures with both sides likely to battle for the title, while Antonio Conte’s reign at Stamford Bridge kicking off with a home game against West Ham.

Jose Mourinho and Pep Guardiola will go head-to-head for the first time as English Premier League managers on September 10 when Manchester United and Manchester City meet in the derby at Old Trafford.

West Ham’s first game at the Olympic Stadium will be on August 20th against Bournemouth.

But although Leicester are worthy champions, plenty of fans will be heading straight for Manchester United’s fixtures to see when Mourinho will come up against not only Guardiola but his old club Chelsea.

The Merseyside derbies against Everton take place on December 17 at Goodison Park and April 1 at Anfield.
