‘Muy fantastico’: Meet the kid whose presidential impersonations went viral
– John Aiello, an eighth grader from Chicago, delivered a speech Wednesday at graduation that had the crowd cracking up. To avoid an overdone topic, Jack put a topical spin to a speech made year after year.
Aiello was one of the finalists and his speech impersonating some presidential candidates, as well as Obama, was received with delight.
In his first bit, he took on the persona of the Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump. “You know, people say I don’t like China – I love China”.
“He’s the most humble kid in the world … he’s always been a strong student, but I’ve never seen this side of Jack”, Kaye said. “And let me just tell you that Thomas has been such a great school, quite frankly it’s been fantastic”.
The audience immediately burst into laughter as he began with a Trump impersonation, and followed it up with imitations of Ted Cruz, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and President Obama.
As Cruz: “Thank you, Donald”.
A Chicago area middle schooler is getting national attention for his speech at his school’s graduation ceremony. “What we need is a cinnamon roll revolution!” Aiello is amusing, witty and dead-on with some of his impersonations.
“Politics has been something he’s been interested in for several years”, John Aiello, the boy’s father, told ABC News.
