Elizabeth Warren turns Trump into an albatross for Ryan and McConnell

U.S. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump attacked Democratic rival Hillary Clinton on Friday as weak on Islamist militants, in a speech at a Christian evangelical conference where he received a standing ovation.

Trump suggested the night could include certain non-athletes, like NASCAR owner Brian France, who endorsed Trump in February.

On Tuesday, Ryan condemned Trump’s comments but said he would still support him because he was better than Clinton.

Trump has endured a sustained barrage of criticism from his fellow Republicans since he accused a US federal judge of being biased against him because of his Mexican heritage.
