Suresh Raina signs three-year deal with IOS sports management group
“Ahead of the World Twenty20, I have plenty of opportunities to play in the longer version of the game, especially in the Ranji Trophy in October-November”. Rhiti is run by Arun Pandey, who manages Dhoni and other cricketers such as Ravindra Jadeja, Mohit Sharma and Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, and Australian swimmer Stephanie Rice.
While Neerav Tomar, MD & CEO IOS Sports & Entertainment added, “I am really excited about signing the deal with Suresh Raina”. “We need to position him as a solid brand”.
“I foresee a lot of matches coming my way in first class cricket and I will certainly work harder to show my calibre and prove (myself) to be a ideal candidate for upcoming Test matches”, Raina told The Hindu.
“I was in touch with Neerav from past few months and we had several rounds of dialogues”. He has made three comebacks after his initial Test run lasted eight matches.
IOS, which is also celebrating 10 years of successful operations, works closely with more than 20 other sports stars including shuttler Saina Nehwal, shooter Gagan Narang, Indian men’s hockey captain Sardar Singh, wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, shooter Heena Sidhu, hockey stars Sandeep Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh, archer Deepika Kumari, and India’s No. 1 squash player Sourav Ghoshal. The selection of Harbhajan Singh and Amit Mishra prove it. Raina was not even picked in the India A team, full of Test hopefuls.
Suresh Raina is upset that he will not be on the flight to Colombo as India and Sri Lanka get set for a three-Test series starting in Galle on August 12. This would originate from a blend of supports, permitting, and marketing furthermore setting up foundations.
Raina was picked for the two-Test series in New Zealand in 2012 but made just 58 runs. He has made five centuries in 218 one-day internationals and plays lower down the order, giving strength to the Indian batting lineup. “In any case, marks just come when you perform on the field”, he included.
Suresh Raina has decided to end his long association with Rhiti Sports Management, which is owned by a friend of MS Dhoni.
The Indian cricket board has said that the matter was with the disciplinary advisory group, yet it had not presented its report in this matter as such. It was reported in 2013 that Dhoni owned a 15% stake in Rhiti, though the company said the cricketer was a shareholder only for a short period and did not have any stake in the company anymore.
