‘Star Trek’ actor Anton Yelchin killed by own car at age 27
The third new film, “Star Trek Beyond” comes out in July.

He transitioned into teenage roles in films such as the crime thriller “Alpha Dog” and the teen comedy “Charlie Bartlett”.
Born in Russia, Yelchin began acting in the 1990s, appearing in several television and film roles.
Yelchin moved to the United States at six months old with his parents, Irina Korina and Viktor Yelchin, who were stars of the Leningrad Ice Ballet.
After voicing Clumsy Smurf in The Smurfs film, starring in the horror remake Fright Night and the romantic drama Like Crazy in 2011, Yelchin was declared a “fresh face” star by USA TODAY.
“(My father) still wanted me to apply to college and stuff, and I did”, Yelchin said. He has two other movies that have already been filmed before his death, Mark Palansky’s Rememory which is about the “widow of a wise professor stumbles upon one of his inventions that’s able to record and play a person’s memory” and Cory Finley’s Thoroughbred, alongside Olivia Cooke and Anya Taylor-Joy, in a story of “two teenage girls in suburban CT rekindle their unlikely friendship after years of growing apart”.
Yelchin seemed to fit in anywhere in Hollywood.
Yelchin transitioned between the big sci-fi franchise and voicing a part for “The Smurfs”.
“Jim was like, ‘Watch out”.
“Our dear friend, our comrade, our Anton”, Zachary Quinto, Yelchin’s Star Trek costar, lamented on Instagram.
Hank Azaria, who acted in “Huff” with Yelchin, said in Twitter he was devastated.
The actor’s publicist, Jennifer Allen, confirmed his death and said his family requests privacy.
