Judge Tells Jerry Lawler & Fiancée To Stay Away From Each Other
Jerry Lawler and his girlfriend/fiancee Lauryn McBride posted bond on Monday and were ordered by a judge to stay away from each other.
“Those are standard bail conditions in a domestic violence case”, said Mark Mesler, McBride’s attorney. McBride said Lawler hit her on the head and pushed her against the stove.
News outlets cited an arrest affidavit that says the couple told officers they got into an argument that turned violent. They were told not to communicate – no texting, phone calls or contact. They were arraigned on charges of domestic assault.
In the incident Thursday, McBride and Lawler argued, and Lawler held her against a kitchen counter, McBride said.
Both acknowledge a gun was involved – but it’s unclear who pulled it out.
World Wrestling Entertainment said it has suspended Lawler.
Lawler has been suspended by the WWE with the company stating, “WWE has zero tolerance for matters involving domestic violence, and per our policy, Jerry Lawler has been suspended indefinitely following his arrest”. To report spam or abuse, click the “X” in the upper right corner of the comment box.
