Michelle Obama joins Snapchat as ‘MichelleObama’
The interview takes us through Obama’s work and reminds us that her legacy will be huge, especially for the “amazing young women” she’s met and helped to achieve through initiatives like Let Girls Learn and Reach Higher.
Michelle Obama announced on Twitter at 1:23 p.m. that she had just joined the popular photo sharing service with a picture of her smiling for the camera and the caption, “Oh hey!”
On the five-day trip Obama will visit Margibi County, Liberia; Marrakech, Morocco and Madrid, Spain to “learn about the more than 62 million girls around the world who aren’t in school, and take action to support them”.

On Tuesday, Obama premiered her Snapchat account with several snaps from James Corden of “The Late Late Show” promoting “Carpool Karaoke” with the First Lady for a future show.
