Juventus striker Alvaro Morata set for Real Madrid return
In the two seasons since his Serie A move, Morata has scored 27 goals in 93 appearances.
According to the Juve chief, Madrid will used the clause to bring Morata back to the Santiago Bernabeu.
“Real Madrid will exercise their right to repurchase”, Marotta said via Sky Sports (h/t Marca) this week.
“Now we just wait for the formal offer, then we see how to act but the chances of him remaining are little”.
It is thought that Madrid could cash in on the striker when he returns from global duty at Euro 2016, with Premier League duo Chelsea and Arsenal heavily linked with big-money moves.
Morata, whose buy-back clause is reported to be worth about 23 million euros (US$25.94 million), is now leading the line for holders Spain at the European Championship, and scored two goals in the 3-0 Group D win against Turkey on Saturday.
Real Madrid is also looking to buy Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba for an undisclosed sum.
“We haven’t received any formal offer and we don’t want to negotiate”, said Morata.
After weeks of speculation about what could happen when it comes to Álvaro Morata’s future in Turin, Juventus director general has now told us exactly what will happen.
