WWE suspends superstar Roman Reigns for violation of wellness policy
His 30-day suspension would end before the WWE’s next pay-per-view, “Battleground“, on July 24.
On Tuesday afternoon, WWE announced that Roman Reigns would be suspended for 30 days due to a violation of the company’s Wellness Policy. The policy gives the company flexibility on when to hand down the suspension. The decision goes into force immediately.
Reigns lost the heavyweight title to his former Shield stable mate Seth Rollins in the Money in the Bank pay-per-view event on Sunday.
It is unknown whether or not this violation will affect Reigns’ ability to take part in the match as the WWE have not announced anything further than his suspension.
Reigns’ last appearance was in the main event of “Monday Night Raw“.
As Reigns, Anoa’i is a three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, a one-time WWE Tag Team Champion and the 2015 Royal Rumble victor. WWE does not release specifics on policy violations. Within minutes of the WWE’s announcement, networks in America such as ESPN and NBCSports had reported the news.
Dean Ambrose then cashed in his newly-won Money In The Bank contract to take the title from Rollins, in what may now be considered prescient booking. WWE has been steadfast in their attempt to get him over, but the live crowds have continued to serenade him with boos, and those boos will get even louder upon his return.
Previous year it was reported that Roman Reigns Failed Drug Test False, he was also quoted as a wrestler who Who Never Took Steroids.
