Google announces update policy for Nexus Devices
From there, Google began releasing and documenting updates for Nexus devices in its monthly Public Nexus Security Bulletins.
People are waiting for Android Nutella to arrive despite the fact that some people haven’t yet received the update to Marshmallow. While this might not matter to most, Snapdragon 821 will have a slight edge over Snapdragon 820 when pushing all those pixels on a 1440p resolution.
The advantage to buying a Nexus handset is that you’re kind of buying a phone from the same company that makes its operating system. Camera-wise, it will sport a 12-megapixel rear-phone snapper and a 5-megapixel selfie clicker. Meanwhile, Nexus 6 experienced a price drop and now it is priced at 180 dollars. The OEM partner for the 2016 line of Nexus devices will be HTC and from what we have heard so far, there is going to be two Nexus handsets coming our way. It is expected that Android N will launch sometime in August. Google recently released the Android N Developer Preview 4 and rumors are rife that the final build will be rolled out as Android 7.0 Nutella.
The senior VP in charge of Android, Hiroshi Lockheimer, tweeted an image and thereby teased the arrival of this new OS. For those of us who would prefer a more exact timeline, Google has just published a table indicating the end-of-life date for certain Nexus devices.
Charlene Munilall, Huawei South Africa Consumer Business Group General Manager, confirmed the news in an interview with Gearburn.
Once your device hits the specified date, Google won’t promise any more updates. Other reports also mentioned an NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor may be loaded into the device, but either way, it will be powerful enough to do multitasking which is an added feature of Android N. The devices have been internally named M1 and S1. On top of that, Google has also remained tight-lipped in terms of any forthcoming device from their company.
Fans should remain patient to see the new Google Nexus in a few months. New speculations have emerged, claiming that the next tablet as well as its other variant, simply referred to as Google Nexus 2016, might be launched sometime this August.
