Mourinho Linked With Shock Arsenal Target
Chelsea winger Willian is set to put pen to paper on a new four year deal at Chelsea, despite reported interest from his old boss Jose Mourinho, who has taken over at Manchester United.
Rashford burst onto the scene under Van Gaal last season and his incredible form saw him included in England’s Euro 2016 squad.
The 25-year-old scored six goals and assisted a further five strikes for the Gunners in the 2015/16 campaign, but could see his future game time being limited after Arsenal signed Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Van Gaal stopped his loan move but didn’t offer him any consistency on the first-team even though he showed plenty potential and even scored a lovely free-kick against Ipswitch Town on his senior debut.
Manchester United are becoming increasingly frustrated with Borussia Dortmund’s intransigence over the sale of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, 27, and are looking elsewhere for alternatives. He has already signed Eric Bailly from Villarreal, subject to the Ivorian being granted a work permit and is also expected to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic once the Swede is free of his worldwide commitments at Euro 2016.
Also, considering that he has the same agent as Jose Mourinho, it is very possible that a deal has been struck between the clubs in secret.
