Scots protesting Trump raise Mexican flag near golf course

Scots living around Donald Trump’s golf resort are flying the Mexican flag in opposition to the billionaire’s policies.
Trump is set to attend the re-opening of his Turnberry golf course this week, and Scottish locals have made a decision to prepare by flying the Mexican flag within view of the course’s clubhouse.
He was referring to Trump’s infamous campaign promise that he would build a wall at the U.S-Mexico border.
“[Trump] is quite smart but he is unsafe with it”, added Milne. Trump called Forbes’ land a “toxic dump” and “disgusting”. In a Scottish newspaper, he recently wrote an op-ed with a headline that read, “How Scotland will help me become president”.

Last year Trump lost his status as an honourary ambassador for Scottish business and was stripped of an honorary degree from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, for his inflammatory comments about Muslims. Scottish judges concluded Trump’s lawyers had not come “anywhere near” substantiating his suspicions.
On Friday, Mr. Trump plans to visit his luxury golf resort, Trump Turnberry, on the rugged southwestern coast, where he will arrive by helicopter before holding a news conference and a ceremonial ribbon cutting, and take a photograph with his family.
Trump’s statement led British lawmakers to debate banning him from entering the UK.
Mexican flags are routinely seen being carried at Trump protests in the United States. “We wanted to show solidarity but we don’t think he is worth doing anything more”.
