Adele’s ’25’ coming to Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal
After selling close to nine million units since its November release, Adele is finally putting her “25” album on streaming sites such as Spotify, Apple Music and Tidal.
If you go to Spotify now they’ve already got “Hello”, “When We Were Young“, and “Send My Love to Your New Lover”.
Previously, Adele and her management had kept “25” off of streaming. “I can’t pledge allegiance to something that I don’t know how I feel about yet”.
19 and 21 are also available to stream, but 21 was likewise withheld from sites like Spotify immediately after release.
Thanks to the graciousness of Adele and/or her record label, now even the cheap and impure among us can luxuriate in the majesties of her voice.
Meanwhile, Adele reportedly signed a deal with Sony in May 2016 for her future releases worth a record-breaking £90M. That shattered the previous mark, set by *NSYNC’s No Strings Attached in 2000, which sold 2.42 million copies in its first week.
Here’s how and where to stream and download Adele’s 25 when it becomes available at midnight.
The pop singer revealed in a 2015 interview with TIME that she wasn’t a fan of streaming, deeming it “disposable”.
A popular move seems to be dropping your album exclusively on Apple Music, then gifting it to Spotify a few weeks later. Seven months later, she has made it available for streaming. After the trial ends, pay $9.99 per month or purchase the Family Plan (up to six members), which uses Family Sharing via iCloud, for $14.99.
