‘Kriti’ is a figment of Shirish Kunder’s imagination
Aneel Neupane, a filmmaker from Nepal wrote on his Facebook page that Mr Kunder’s psychological-thriller starring Radhika Apte and Manoj Bajpayee was copied from Bob and alleged that Mr Kunder had “practically stolen the plot and made it into his film”. It features Manoj Bajpayee, Radhika Apte and Neha Sharma in lead roles.
Short film “Kriti” was watched and endorsed by several celebrities they did not just like it but also commented and applauded Shirish. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo did not fail to provide fodder to them on Wednesday night, when he tweeted about Shirish Kunder’s latest short movie.
After extending his support to “Udta Punjab” while its makers were caught in a tiff with the censor board, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appreciated director Shirish Kunder’s short movie “Kriti”. Initially, I thought maybe the first few frames, the setting and characters resembled BOB. Looks of Radhika Apte was very classy and stylish and Neha Sharma as always was looking cute in this movie. One day Manoj Bajpai came for dinner and he told me that he wanted to do something in the web genre and I gave him the script.
Shirish had previously directed “Jaan-E-Mann” and “Joker”. He has directed the short film for the online audience of muvizz.com; the short film has been uploaded on Youtube also. How is it even possible to “lift’ the idea, unless I was time travelling?”
