CNN hires fired Trump campaign manager Lewandowski
The political biases of other former aides turned network pundits are easy to detect, too.
Paul Begala (Bill Clinton’s former aide), David Axelrod (Barack Obama), Karl Rove (George W. Bush), Steve Schmidt (John McCain), Donna Brazile (Al Gore) and Joe Trippi (Howard Dean) all work at either CNN, Fox News Channel or MSNBC.
At issue is Lewandowski’s history with the media, with women, and his continued support of Trump’s xenophobic comments toward Latinos and Muslims over the past year.
“[Lewandowski] doesn’t intend to utter a negative syllable about Donald Trump”.
So this is who CNN just hired to provide political commentary: an angry misogynist with a brutal temper and a long trail of pissed-off colleagues who wouldn’t shed a tear if he fell under a moving F train. Lewandowksi, who has an intimate knowledge of Trump and the workings of an often-opaque campaign organization, could prove a valuable resource both for CNN reporters and viewers, this insider argued.
“Paul Manafort has been in operational control of the campaign since April 7”.
“Whatever may be on Left Hand Enterprises, whatever job was supposed to be done, was done effectively and efficiently”, Lewandowski said. A few months ago, the lobbyist was nearly charged with battery after forcibly grabbing reporter Michelle Fields when leaving one of Trump’s press conferences. The charges against Lewandowski were eventually dropped. I’m going to tell it like it is because that’s how I’ve had my entire career, and most of the time it has been at my own detriment.
“As Gray went into the crowd to film reaction to the sign, which had already been taken down, Lewandowski confronted him directly: ‘Inside the pen, or I will pull your credentials”.
He did offer one newsy nugget, saying Trump’s list of vice presidential possibilities had no more than four names.
While former Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski has been mum as to why he was let go on Monday, another former aide to the real estate mogul has revealed that attacks on Judge Gonzalo Curiel may have led to his firing. CNN reps did not return messages from the Daily News. CNN has used a handful of Trump surrogates in its coverage, most prominently Jeffrey Lord and Kaleigh McEnany.
