Hillary Clinton to stump in Cincinnati today
He avoided his previously used nickname for Warren, “Pocahontas”, when referencing a 2012 controversy over how she characterized her Native-American heritage.
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton will campaign for the first time with populist U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren in OH on Monday in an early move to neutralize Republican Donald Trump’s appeal in the bellwether state.
Of the Clinton event itself, Brown said Warren was exhibiting hypocrisy in supporting the presumptive Democratic nominee, whom he called “the queen of Wall Street” for her closeness to the banking industry. In addition to being a potential running mate for Clinton, Warren has emerged as a vocal critic of presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump – a role she is likely to play throughout the summer and fall campaign. “A nasty man who will never become president of the United States, because Hillary Clinton will be the next president of the United States”.
The U.S. senator from MA appeared with Clinton before a raucous, enthusiastic crowd in Cincinnati, Ohio, targeting a battleground state in a potential preview of a Clinton-Warren campaign team.
“You just saw why she is considered so terrific, so formidable, because she tells it like it is”, Clinton said of Warren.
“She used the fact that she was Native American to advance her career”. Clinton was asked repeatedly about the prospect of putting Warren on the ticket while greeting supporters on the rope line after her remarks, but declined to respond.
More than half of voters – 51 percent – say choosing Warren would have no impact on their vote and the rest are about evenly divided.
“While Warren claims that Wall Street businesses have too much influence in D.C.by paying “barely disguised bribes” through campaign contributions, the Clinton campaign has accepted over $41 million this cycle from Wall Street interests”, it said.
Clinton’s decision to campaign with Warren for the first time in Cincinnati, a city on Ohio’s southwestern border with Kentucky and in, is a bid to stop Trump from gaining ground in the state by focusing on how Clinton would help improve the USA economy.
However, a new study says both Trump’s and Clinton’s budget plans would raise the national debt over the next 10 years.
Retired NFL player Herschel Walker says he’s being dropped from speaking engagements because of his relationship with Donald Trump.
At a few points during the speech, Warren led the cheering crowd in chants of “Hillary, Hillary”. Clinton has since reversed her trade stance.
Warren also alluded to Trump’s rhetorical jabs at her, mocking his “Make America Great Again” trucker hats. Clinton would increase taxes by $1.25 trillion.
