After Dalai Lama met Lady Gaga, China warns of his motives
Lady Gaga and Dalai Lama talked about compassion when they had a chance to meet during the United States Conference of Mayors in IN, where the well-known leader served as the keynote speaker.
“I’m one 81-year-old person with quite a lot of experiences”.
The Dalai Lama’s speech mainly focused on hope for the future, United States reports said. Lady Gaga joined him on stage after the address for a question-and-answer session moderated by NBC News’ Ann Curry.
And the Dalai Lama said: “We are a social animal, so individuals’ future depends entirely on the community”.
Then, reflecting on the horrors of the 21st century, he added: ‘Once [a] tragic situation happens, not avoid-look at more deeply, widely. If you would like to discuss another topic, look for a relevant article.
The two also joked about being old-souls. Saying that even when things still look hopeless from a distance, it is important to acknowledge that there are still various positive things to comfort yourself with. As for meditating, Gaga does it, and so does His Holiness. “81 years old. progress, not much”, he said, smiling.
“I am a poor practitioner of meditation”.
Naturally, popular celebrities supporting this cause does not look great on the Chinese government and, fearing Chinese young people absorbing undesirable political views from their idols, it is a common tactic to attempt to erase them from pop culture. “Nothing special medicine. My mind (is) always clear”. Lady Gaga emphasized that kindness was a resource that was absolutely free.
