Uncharted 4 multiplayer DLC release date: First free expansion coming soon
The game’s first DLC, a pack full of new multiplayer weapons, skins, taunts, boosters, custom loadout names, a map and more will be released on June 29, developer Naughty Dog announced on its website. The stream will be hosted on the Naughty Dog Twitch channel, starting at 11:30 am Pacific / 8:30 pm BST. The long and short: one developer put it bluntly when he said that “it will be a while” before you’ll get your hands on Uncharted 4’s single-player DLC (via GameSpot). Now, the game’s developer, Naughty Dog, and its publisher, Sony Interactive Entertainment, have come out with new details regarding the much awaited expansion and it looks like there will be a number of new exciting features and add-ons that players of the game can look forward to.
Naughty Dog had made the decision to release the multiplayer DLC and patch for free, along with the game’s purchase. They also shared their future plans for Uncharted 4 in a recent Playstation Blog.
On a mission to search for the treasures of Captain Henry Avery, the two brothers set out to find Libertalia, which is described as “the pirate utopia deep in the forests of Madagascar”.
“And just as we were getting close to settling or narrowing that list down, we were asked to work on Uncharted 4”, he explained. The free release is quite uncommon in the competitive market of games, which would certainly delight many of Naughty Dog’s fans.
Although Uncharted 4 fans have been promised upcoming DLC for the game’s single-player, it’s going to be a long while until Naughty Dog even shares what it could be about.
What’s more, if you are lucky enough to have the “Uncharted 4” Triple Pack then you will get additional items on Wednesday with the update.
