Allegiant Air to make Newark debut this fall
Allegiant Air announced Tuesday it is adding nonstop flights from Provo to San Diego, California.
Allegiant will add four flights a week from Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport to Liberty International Airport in Newark, New Jersey, starting November 16. Service to Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport will be offered twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays.
The new air service will begin on October 7, 2016.
“The addition of Allegiant to Denver International Airport’s growing list of airlines will provide passengers with another ultra-low-cost carrier choice”, airport CEO Kim Day said.
The Las Vegas-based airline said it will be adding 12 total routes around the country in time for the holiday travel season, including nonstop service to Newark from Cincinnati; Savannah, Georgia; Asheville, North Carolina; and Knoxville, Tennessee.
It will be Allegiant’s first flights in the New York City market, said Lukas Johnson, a vice president for parent Allegiant Travel Co.
Allegiant will be expanding its service to include New York/Newark; Ogdensburg, New York and Denver.
The new route will become Allegiant’s 14th destination available from Cincinnati, including Austin, Las Vegas, Phoenix, New Orleans, Savannah/Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, Washington D.C. and six cities in Florida. Local travelers who would like to enter to win can do so on the company’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/Allegiant.
