Baltimore rapper Tyriece ‘Lor Scoota’ Watson fatally shot
“I am saddened to hear about the senseless murder of (Tyriece) “Lor Scoota” Watson”, said local Councilman Nick J. Mosby, whose wife is Baltimore City’s State Attorney Marilyn James Mosby.
During the unrest in Baltimore after the death of Freddie Gray, Scoota reportedly recorded a series of PSAs that aired on local radio stations urging non-violent solutions and “encouraging peace”. The panel spoke to students at Frederick Douglass High School following the nights of unrest in the city. “That’s not going to happen in Baltimore”.
Several hundred people gathered peacefully Monday for the late-afternoon vigil.
The killing has stunned fans across the country as police search for the gunman. “And we went over the [allotted] time”.
Davis says the vigil began around 5 p.m. Two dozen police vehicles eventually showed up and ordered the crowd to disperse.
Police have talked to some witnesses, but would like to find more.
“It’s good that #LorScoota, #Scoota, #PrayforScoota, #BirdFlu and all that is trending on Twitter, Smith said”. But no motive has been identified, and police have not named any suspects.
Police told people to leave the streets, with participants responding that this is where they live.
During a Monday evening press briefing, Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis told reporters that three adults had been arrested for throwing “bricks and bottles at police”. He captured the intense ordeal on live video app Periscope.
People from all over Baltimore are mourning and remembering Watson on social media.

Funeral services for Lor Scoota will be held on Friday at Empowerment Temple in Baltimore, according to Rose’s Twitter account.
Investigators believe the ambush was a targeted attack, with Lor Scoota the intended victim.
