Warriors’ Curry, Kerr each get $25000 fines
Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will not be forced to sit out Game 7 of the NBA Finals after being ejected from Game 6 for throwing his mouthguard.
Curry was ejected in the fourth quarter after he picked up his sixth foul and then tossed his mouthpiece that hit Andrew Forbes, son of Cavaliers minority owner Nate Forbes.
If Stephen Curry is going to get flack for throwing his mouthpiece, he isn’t going to get it from his coach. “But three of the six fouls (called on Curry) were incredibly inappropriate calls for anybody, much less the MVP of the league”.
“I definitely did not mean to throw it at a fan, but it happened”, he said.
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Warriors 115-101 to even this unpredictable series and force a decisive Game 7. No team has come back from a 3-1 deficit to win an National Basketball Association championship series, but the Cavs are giving it their best shot.
Thursday night’s game was no exception. Here’s a look at the defining moments of the 2016 NBA Finals.
Before the game Ayesha Curry tweeted that her cousin couldn’t get into the casino because he was wearing Warriors gear. “Or ratings i’m not sure which”, she tweeted. LeBron (James) flops on the last one.
Following the game, Kerr earned his fine when he added to Curry’s assessment of the final fouls.
Steph was not the only Curry who was upset with the referees in Game 6. Lue felt James, who also had seven turnovers, was hit numerous times but never got the benefit of a foul call. She deleted the tweet a few minutes later and after around 80,000 retweets. “Like I told you guys the other day, it’s two of the greatest words in the world and that’s ‘Game 7.’ So I’ll play it anywhere”. “Hasn’t been anything ideal about it. So, yeah, it’s frustrating, but the work we’ve put in and the opportunity we’ve given ourselves with a Game 7 to win the finals at home, you’ve got to be excited about that”.
James was unstoppable, dominating play at both ends and finishing with 41 points for the second consecutive game.
