Didi Hamann’s scathing criticism of the Premier League is brilliant TV

Transfers to the Premier League for players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Cesc Fabregas and N’Golo Kante may not have happened under “Brexit” with rules stating players need a certain number of caps for their country before they can move.

England manager Roy Hodgson resigned immediately after the game, leaving English soccer in a state of flux at the moment.
The former Liverpool player and German worldwide featured in 191 games over seven seasons for the Reds, including participating in the famous treble in 2000-2001 and, of course, playing a pivotal role in winning the 2005 Champion’s League trophy.
If Hamann is right, is the Premier League attractive to players simply for the paycheck or is there a footballing reason for continental players to want to play in England?
