Murder Suspect Has Georgia Ties — FBI Most Wanted
Agents say Minor was in an argument during the late hours of March 5.
The dispute escalated, and Perry was shot just outside of her Milwaukee home. She has a tattoo on her lower abdomen of a display of roses, which are a cover-up of an earlier tattoo that is not fully covered.
The FBI is offering $100,000 for information that leads to the arrest of Shanika S. Minor, 24, of Wisconsin.
A woman who was born in MS and has ties to the state is now listed on the “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives” Federal Bureau of Investigation’s list.
Having Minor appear on the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted List”, the Milwaukee police believe, will be a major help in the suspect’s getting eventually apprehended and brought back to Wisconsin to stand trial.
Milwaukee Police Chief Edward Flynn said, “It’s important that a national hue and cry be raised”, as he put out a call for Minor’s arrest, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
Minor and Perry were high school classmates. The FBI says Minor felt Perry was “disrespecting her family”. On March 5, investigators say Minor confronted Perry near her home, but Minor’s mother de-escalated the situation. After firing a number of shots into the air, Minor left the scene at the request of the neighbor’s mother.
“This was a senseless crime”, Piontek said, “and we believe Minor is capable of more violence”.
Shortly before 3 a.m. on March 6, 2016, Minor returned to the neighbor’s residence, gained entry into the common hallway of the duplex, and met the woman by the rear door of her residence. Freeman said that she does not sleep and does not eat. Minor allegedly reached over her mother’s shoulder and fired a round from her firearm towards the woman, striking her in the chest.
Two other children were inside the home and reportedly watched as their mother died. She was arguing with her mother’s neighbor in Milwaukee. She took a niece. “We need to capture her so no one else is harmed”.
Anyone with information in the case is urged to call their nearest Federal Bureau of Investigation office or local law enforcement agency, submit a tip online here, or call the FBI’s Milwaukee Division at 414-276-4684.
Minor worked delivering newspapers.
“I just want her caught so I can rest”. The Feds describe her as armed and unsafe and she’s believed to have contact with various people within Missouri, Mississippi, Texas, Tennesee, Ohio, and even Georgia.
She fled from the area and has since told acquaintances that she won’t turn herself in, federal agents said. He explained a “network of friends” or family members could be helping her. CBS affiliate WDJT identified the victim as Tamecca Perry.
She was born in Mississippi.
Deshaun Freeman died on the scene.
Charged offenders are chosen if they’re considered a danger to society or have committed a long list of serious crimes, and if police think national or worldwide attention to the fugitive will help in the person’s capture.
