Unfortunate, insensitive: Aamir on Salman’s rape analogy
The second poster of Dangal was launched by Aamir Khan in Mumbai on Monday and it looks fab!
Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Suniel Shetty and Kangana Ranaut also reacted to Salman’s statement. Further talking about Salman Khan’s Sultan and his Dangal being films on the same lines, Aamir added, “I haven’t noticed similarities with Sultan”. Whichever script I hear one will never come to know about it. Aamir also feels that Salman has always been a bigger star than him. While SRK responded by saying, “I have made so many inappropriate comments myself. Going by media reports, I feel what he said is unfortunate and insensitive”, Aamir told reporters here. There are host of stars which I consider big and this includes Hrithik (Roshan), Ranbir (Kapoor) and Ranveer (Singh).
While Salim Khan, Salman’s father, apologised on behalf of his son after the strong reactions, the actor himself has not apologised for his comments. I don’t think I am someone to sit in judgment for anyone else’s comment. “It’s about taking sides or not taking sides”, Shah Rukh had said. Director Anurag Kashyap had called it a “thoughtless and daft” thing to say. “Undoubtedly what Salman said is wrong”.
The remark sparked a furious debate and led to the Maharashtra State Commission for Women summoning the actor for a hearing. He sent a letter to NCW via his lawyer but the organisation said it was not an apology.
