Street Fighter V gets a dramatic story mode trailer
The downloadable update weighs in at a hefty 16GB on PS4 if you’re new to Street Fighter 5.
Known as “A Shadow Falls”, the story mode bridges the gap between Street Fighter 4 and Street Fighter 3.
It adds two new DLC characters: Balrog and Ibuki, as well as premium costumes (Hot Ryu here I come) and new stages. Players who previously purchased the Season Pass can download them for free, while the rest of us will be able to buy them for $5.99 apiece.
Capcom has released a new trailer for “A Shadow Falls”, the upcoming free story mode expansion for Street Fighter 5.
In addition to A Shadow Falls, the SF5 game update also introduces two new fighters, Ibuki and Balrog, available to play in Story Mode and to purchase via the game’s store. “In short, Balrog will do whatever it takes to win a fight and with the end goal always being to obtain more wealth”. Ibuki’s fighting style is characterized by her speed, agility.
The Cinematic Story Mode must be downloaded as a separate update from the PS Store or Steam Store.
Capcom will begin server maintenance on the game to ensure patch 1.04 changes will go live by midnight, July 1, according to Polygon.
The update also includes new stages, an upgraded in-game currency shop, matchmaking improvements and new costumes.
Earlier this month, Capcom announced that it had cancelled its plans to add Zenny, a currency that would have been bought with real money, to the game.
In other Street Fighter 5 news, game director Takayuki Nakayama revealed few of the characters they designed who did not make it to the final cut.
There will also be an update on battle costumes for all 20 Street Fighter 5 characters and Karin will also have summer costume in premium design.
