Mirza Teletovic agrees on deal with Milwaukee Bucks
The Bucks agreed to terms with free agent shooter Mirza Teletovic on a three-year deal worth $30 million, Teletovic’s agent announced on Friday.
The Milwaukee Bucks have come to agreements with a pair of free agents on Friday. The contract can not be officially signed until July 7. They also agreed to an offer sheet of four years, $38 million with guard, Matthew Dellavedova. The defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers will have a opportunity to match this offer, but considering LeBron James – who essentially runs the Cavs – wished Dellavedova “Good luck in Milwaukee” on Twitter, that is unlikely to happen.
Teletovic has spent the past four seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns, mainly coming off the bench.
After moving to Phoenix last season, he became a valuable weapon off the bench, hitting 39.3 percent on threes while still taking them as a majority of his shots.
In three seasons with Cleveland Dellavedova has played in 215 games, including 31 starts. Wade, is said to be disappointed that Miami has targeted other players in free agency without addressing his situation.
When you pair this with the size of an National Basketball Association roster (13 players) you’re going to see some wacky dollar figures thrown around. He averaged 7.5 points and 4.4 assists in 76 games last season, including 14 starts, and shot 41% from three-point range. His presence on the perimeter should give dynamic youngsters Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jabari Parker more room to work and also draw some attention away from sharpshooter Khris Middleton. Bayless signed a two-year, $6 million deal to join the Bucks in the summer of 2014.
